Federal Candidates
Bernie Sanders - US Senator
Bernie Sanders is the senior Senator Vermont, currently serving his third term.
In Congress, Bernie has fought tirelessly for working families, focusing on the shrinking middle class and growing gap between the rich and everyone else. As chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Bernie worked across the aisle to “bridge Washington’s toxic partisan divide and cut one of the most significant deals in years.” In 2015, Democratic leadership tapped Bernie to serve as the caucus’ ranking member on the Senate Budget Committee.
Becca Balint - US Representative
Becca is a mom, teacher, and progressive leader who has fought for people on the margins her entire life. She served in the Vermont senate for 10 years.
​As Vermont’s first Congresswoman, Becca has continued her track record of fighting for people on the margins and working across differences. She is a member of the House Judiciary and Budget Committees, and a leader in the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Becca has focused on increasing access to affordable housing, mental health care for all, and protecting our democracy.​

Esther Charlestin - Governor
An educator, devoted working mom, daughter of immigrants, and a Vermonter by choice, Esther embodies persistence, resilience, and advocacy.
She is running because Vermonters deserve sustainable education systems, accessible housing and livability, and strong leadership to become a climate-resilient state with a just energy transition. Esther has experienced these hardships firsthand and is acutely aware of the necessity for real, effective solutions.
Mike Pieciak - Treasurer
Mike is a dedicated public servant and a champion of working Vermonters. As State Treasurer, he is investing an economy where all Vermonters have the opportunity to succeed. He is an everyday Vermonter and has worked to protect consumers from financial harm.
In his first term as Treasurer, Mike has focused on increasingly the supply of housing, investing in climate mitigation, and growing the middle class by alleviating poverty.

Charity Clark - Attorney General
Charity is a lawyer, a mother, a volunteer, a proud Vermonter, and the first woman elected Attorney General of Vermont. She is a dedicated community volunteer, a Justice of the Peace, and chair of the board of her town library.
In her first term, Charity championed many causes, like data privacy, abortion rights, public safety, criminal record sealing laws, and fighting scams. She will continue standing up for Vermonters and the issues that affect them most.
Sarah Copeland-Hanzas - Secretary of State
Sarah has spent her career educating young Vermonters, advocating for policies that strengthen their future, and fighting for democracy in the state legislature; she continues that work as Secretary of State.
Sarah is empowering all Vermonters to participate in their democracy by advocating for change, petitioning their elected leaders and voting. She ensures that all Vermonters have their voices heard in Vermont’s elections.
